Important events like the Boston Marathon have a downside: option overload. There was so much to see and do today that I chose to call it a day and give my legs some rest in the afternoon. However, I did get a chance to see the short preview to a movie that seemed promising: Born to Run. mzungo.org friend Bart Yasso presented the movie as part of the Runner's World agenda. Aparently they are still in legal discussions regarding some of the film material (mostly with respect to the Olympic games). There is hope though that the movie will be released in autumn (or fall or for you Southern Hemispherians, by the end of the year).
The story? Six American distance runners, be it favourates, dark horses or underdogs challenge each other and the rest of the world (cheesy, I know but that is how it is phrased on the website):
Ryan Hall, mzungo.org friend Abdi 'black cactus' Abdirahman, Jason Hartmann, NYC local hero Karl Dusen, Fernando Cabada and Fasil Bizuneh.
Check their website for further info. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it...
