Boston bound: Deriba Merga - PR 2:06:38

By now everyone seems to be talking about Cheruiyot, Hall and the weak field (again) of this year's Boston marathon.
Hello? Deriba Merga anyone? Yes, exactly, that guy. 4th place at last year's Beijing Olympics, two-o-six marathoner and 59:15 half marathoner.

And that is exactly what we like at mzungo.org HQs. There's nothing wrong with being humble and softspoken but no one likes a good story and some goss like we do.

Pepole criticize him for racing too often and being impatient. We really hope he keeps that bad habit for Boston and blasts thorugh the first half. Surely, Hall remembers Beijing when he essentially lost the race during the open miles as the decisive move took place (we don't blame Hall though for not going with them - it was the smarter choice even if it turned out wrong). So, would Hall let that guy go again? If not, what if they'd team up and put Cheruiyot and the others under early pressure?

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it!
