Here is where you heard it first: NYC half marathon - August 16

Finally the NYRR emerged with a date for the NYC half marathon out of the haziness of wild speculations that included everything from 'mid July' to 'will be cancelled'.

August 16 I will not be in Europe so I am sort of relieved to be able to run the no. 2 race on my this year's list. Turns out - contrary to my earlier post - that the club champs indeed have been moved to August 8 to accomodate the half. No Falmouth for me then but I'd rather have it that way. As expected, the NYers are already bitching that club champs have to give way to the foreigners' $$. Some people just don't get it. We say: thanks Mary!
