Last man standing: Atsushi Sato

Imagine being a 2:07 marathoner and getting ready for the Olympics. Your preparation goes all wrong but hope dies last. You feel crappy from the gun. You are dropped very early. Any remaining runners behind you drop out. But you stay in there. You are gutting it out. It seems to take forever, two hours, 41 minutes and some seconds to be precise. More than half an hour slower than your PR. You could have done a 10k jog in that time.

Meet Atsushi Sato. What will his first marathon (London) after this experience feel like? Will he be able to shovel the demons of his back?

mzungo.org says: We don't see a need to make anything up. It's awesome to see a professional sticking with it, no matter what.
Go get that monkey off your back Atsushi!
