London calling to the faraway towns...

...now that war is declared-and battle come down, London calling to the underworld

"The Clash" just names it - The spring season is in full affect.
Boston is over - Deriba has had his show! The next big boy is around the corner - 3 days and 11 hours and its swinging London who gets the call for serious long distance road running.

Last year mzungo.org was there with the full squad (official and un-official ;-)) - this year the almighty BBC will be our view on the course.

The line-up is topclass as always. Lel back once again. Wanjiru on the spot and Goumri on his way to another top finish? Lel is fighting for his FOURTH title in London and Sammy wants to show that Bejing and (still...) the half marathon world record are enough to win a classic. "My target is to break the world record and be the world number one. If the pace is good on Sunday, I'll try to break the world record." - Nuff said by Sammy. The boys are ready for the battle!
This race will be interesting as the other contenders are fast boys aswell but miss the experience in those rabbited big city classics. Kedebe and Tadese are the main guys to watch. Both with amazing speed on the road and cross country. Both with a final kick that can break calves.

Just take a quick look at last years top ten. 6 guys went under 2:07 and even Goumris 2:05:30 was just enough for the third spot.
Not only the queen was amused with that turnout at the thames.
