Matt Fitzgerald: Mind-Body Running
We are sure that by now all of you have read Matt Fitzgerald's excellent book "Brain training for runners.". In fact, I believe that you actually might only need three books as a serious runner: Noakes' "Lore of Running", Jack Daniel's "Running Formula" and Matt's.
So, you might ask after reading all of them (good luck with 'lore of running'): What's next?
Actually, it could well be Matt's latest and soon to be printed work called "Mind-Body running - A Holistic Approach to Becoming a Better, Happier Runner". Yes, it sounds kinda New Age. When it comes to New Age, I always feel a bit awkward although I love Mike Oldfield tunes. But we all know Matt. The guy is SO NOT New Age but more control freak (sorry Matt but that at least is my impression after following your Boston prep on your blog, no pun intended!). I am sure it will be one heck of a book. What makes me feel that? His sneak peek. Reading Matt's stuff for me is like as if someone is finally bringing to paper what I was tossing around my little brain for a long time while being absolutely unable to write it down in clear words just as he does.
mzungo.org keeps you posted about the final result.
