Word had it that Sammy signed for Berlin as well. But now we hear from Federico Rosa that things were still discussed and Chicago or even NY could be options for Sammy W.
mzungo.org says it makes sense: Geb vs. Sammy would most likely result in a winning time above WR, therefore spike less interest while still costing Berlin a substantive amount. Having Geb on the hunt for WR in Berlin and three weeks later Sammy in Chicago sounds more of a win-win for both organisers. Maybe the fact that both are Marathon Majors let them play softball?
