Kigali — RWANDA's top female athlete Epiphanie Nyirabarame has been offered a one-month training camp ahead of next month's Berlin World Athletics Championship.
The two-time Olympian, who hit the qualification time at the first time of asking, will have her training camp fully funded by the International Athletics Amateur Federation (IAAF). Nyirabarame, who leaves for Germany this Sunday, will have a two-week stint in Potsdam before relocating to Neu Brandenburg for another two weeks.
The athlete will then head to the athletes' village in Berlin on August 12 where she will be joined by Rwanda's ace athlete Dieudonne Disi. Disi, who will compete in the full marathon category (42km), will acclimatize in Spain. Disi is eager to make amends after failing to qualify for the previous World Championships which were held in 2007 in Osaka, Japan.
