Recap: Not the best of weeks on the health front. But hey these things happen, too much to be blessed and thankful, so NO sitting back and wondering "why such bad timing". If the pain doesn't get worse I think it would be a painful marathon but still possible. I haven't ruled out just doing the half marathon now. Time to think, fitness is there, I just need to keep this foot taped together and live in the ice bucket for the next 2 weeks and see what happens. If able next week will have Wednesday MP run, Friday short Long Run of 15miles, and Sunday 5K tempo with all the in between days anything from off to max 7-8miles.

UCXC: We had our top girl run 3mile Tempo at 19:15 Wednesday. Small steps is what building a college program is all about. This was a huge step for this girl since her 5K PR is 20:20s. Might not get a course for her to show her fitness but she is going to make a great run at all-conference if she stays healthy. Improvements like this is being seen by almost all of the girls every week. The program hasn't had a all-conference runner for the past 2 year's(actually no one has been even close). This year that is a individual goal we have for some of them which if accomplished leads to better team result!!

Marian: She is on a good roll right now. Solid mileage week after week(70's) and now some really solid workouts. This past week had 4mile Tempo at 5:54 pace looking smooth, Cruise Interval 6x1k w/60sec float with her average time being 3:31-2 on the rolling forest road and then finished off the week with 16miles that included some early hilly sections. Were just lacking the longer tempo or steady state efforts but she did have the fast finish long run last Sunday that is great for half/full prep. I think she is ready for a solid half!
