Boston bound: Ryan Hall
"London Marathon can be compared to a sharp, crisp wave at pipeline where one can get in trouble by getting sucked up and spit up because the wave is so clean and tempting. Boston is like the giant, dark, fierce and choppy waves of Mavericks - intimidating, daunting, and full of character. Both are epic. Both have the opportunity for greatness and great defeat."
"I think responding to surging is just a matter of fitness level and how you are feeling on the day. In both Boston and New York, I was simply not able to go with the surging because I wasn't feeling good enough at that point in the race to go. I wanted to go with the surges, but knowing my body, I knew I would blow up if I did."
