Boulder Marathon Postponed Due To Fires

by Mario Fraioli

This weekend’s Boulder Marathon, which was scheduled for Sunday at Boulder Reservoir, has been postponed because of the wildfires ravaging Fourmile Canyon.

Race director Jeff Mason made the announcement Monday on the event’s website stating, ”E-mails of support have come in from all corners of the country and I want to thank all of you for keeping a positive outlook on this, and especially for keeping this situation in its proper perspective,” Mason wrote. ”Once we have a reschedule date, we’ll encourage our participants to bring items to donate to those who have been affected by the fire.”
