Blog Roll - Matt Gabrielson

I was saved by old times

Man, it has been an absolutely gorgeous fall. The mornings are just starting to feel crisp, and so gloves and tights will be needed soon enough on the am jogs.

Wednesdays at Hyland with Schen-del and Lehm have easily been some of my favorite training runs in recent memory as the hilly trail running mixed in with the always entertaining political banter cannot be matched anywhere. Rush Limbaugh is indeed an idiot by the way.

Cow Harbor was a complete bust, but since then it has been going well particularly on the subthresh training I have been doing. A couple of 120 mile weeks haven't hurt either. It has been a nice mix of everything from training effects to volume.

The Hornets won the conference meeting last night which probably means reclaiming the #1 ranking in MN. I am extremely proud of how they competed. Julie put it best when she said it looked like they were actually 'racing' out on the course rather than just 'running' as it appeared 10 days earlier at Chaska. Now if we can just figure out how to get the most out of the boys at the section meeting in a couple weeks then the dream season will continue. Onward and upward...
