Is Hanson stuck in the past?

'Hanson [says] it's important to jog after training or racing to "cool down."
"If you're running regularly, you're still carrying yesterday's lactic acid, which is why you do a cool down -- that's for the next day," Hanson said. "To me, that's another form of stretching."

We now know, however, that lactic acid levels return to pre-exercise levels generally within an hour.
Coaches, PLEASE stop talking about lactic acid and lactate thresholds where it is inappropriate or downright wrong which it is in almost all cases.
That said, please let us know if we are missing something.
