Turin Marathon: Ruggero Pertile

Ruggero Pertile wins the 24th Turin Marathon in 2:10:58, beating Kenyan Lawrence Kimaiyo (2h11:45). Third is Ethiopian Habteselassie Lemma (2h12:21). Fifth, behind Kenyan Kurui (2h13:06), is "carabiniere" Danilo Goffi (2h14:38) who redeems himself after a DNF three weeks ago in Venice.

"The weather wasn't perfect today so I new from the start that I wouldn't be able to break my PB of 2:09:53. Instead, winning was my sole focus."

Kenyan sandwich with Ethiopia in the middle for the ladies: Priscah Jeptoo (2h27:01) takes the race ahead of Fate Tola (2h28:21) and Florence Chepsoi (2h32:38).
