AUDIO: Haile on his decision to compete again

The marathon world record holder, Haile Gebrselassie, has told the BBC that the reaction of the Ethiopian people and concern that his children were being teased by their classmates, persuaded him to come out of retirement.

The 37 year old initially announced his retirement after dropping out of the New York marathon last month, but reversed his decision several days later.
