Marathon world record holder Haile Gebrselassie just signed a one-year advertising contract worth $100,000 with Johnnie Walker whiskey.
Gebrselassie announced that he will join Johnnie Walker's "Walk with Giants" campaign. The ads celebrate the achievements of great athletes around the globe. Gebrselassie is the only African featured in the commercials.
The advertisement, which lasts just over a minute, shows Gebrselassie in a red t-shirt and khaki pants, running through Ethiopian landscapes and streets, mixed in with shots of him in competition.
