Ryan Hall: "I can't wait to be back in Hopkinton..."

Ryan Hall is set to return for the 115th running of the Boston Marathon April 18, said John Hancock Financial, the principal sponsor of the race.

Hall (shown at right in a Globe file photo) is the second fastest American marathoner of all time with a 2:06:17 personal best and currently holds the American record in the half marathon, a press release from John Hancock Financial noted.

"I am excited to be part of the John Hancock elite team for the third year in a row," Hall said in a statement. "I can't wait to be back in Hopkinton in April ready to test myself over the most historic marathon course in America."

John Hancock Financial is a Boston-based unit of Manulife Financial Corp., a financial services group headquartered in Canada.
