Healy pips Whelan in 60m at Woodie’s DIY AAI Games

The Woodie’s DIY AAI Indoor Games at Nenagh stadium today provided much needed competition for many athletes.

Joan Healy (Bandon AC), winner of the national junior title at the same venue last week, was back in action in the 60m and faced strong competition from Niamh Whelan (Ferrybank AC). The result was another good win for the Cork woman in a time of 7.71, with Whelan second in 7.73.
