With four sub-2:06 marathoners in the field, an assault on the men's World record at Sunday's (10) ABN AMRO Marathon may be in the cards, and organisers aren't leaving anything to chance.Organisers of the race's 31st edition, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, have insured the EUR 225,000 World record bonus the winner will receive if he betters the 2:03:59 World record set by Haile Gebrselassie in 2008. And the expectations in this Dutch harbour town, which has produced the fastest times of the last two years, are very high. The weather forecast for Sunday, calling for temperatures of 12-14 C. degrees at the 11 a.m. start with very light winds and sunny conditions, also seems to be cooperating.
