Kenyan runners Dickson Terer and Cecilia Warutumo are the winners of the men and women races of 'Skopje Marathon 2011', organized Sunday in Macedonia's capital in honor of the Europe Day.
Terer completed the marathon of 42,195 km for record two hours, 23 minutes and 50 seconds, followed by his compatriot Edwin Rutto and Attila Halagai.
Cecilia Warutumo also set a new women record, completing the marathon race for 2 hours, 50 minutes and 6 seconds, followed by Slagjana Perunovic from Montenegro and Katalin Farkas from Hungary.
Gjorgi Trendafilov and Blagica Jovanovska were the best among Macedonian runners, scoring the sixth and fifth place respectively. Jovanovska also set a new Macedonia's record.
