BERLIN MARATHON CLASSIC: Haile's 2h04'26" in 2007



Haile Gebrselassie has achieved the first of its two major objectives: In the world record time of 2:04:26 hours, the 34-year-old Ethiopian stormed to the finish of the 34th real, - BERLIN-MARATHON. Gebrselassie improved to four years ago, Paul Tergat (Kenya) 2:04:55 in Berlin established a world record by 29 seconds. For an Ethiopian double victory ensured in ideal weather conditions, Gete Wami, repeated as Haile Gebrselassie its success last year in Berlin. Wami ran 2:23:17 hours into the goal. In the World Marathon Majors Series 2006-2007 she went after her victory in Berlin in the lead.
