Flotrack, in association with adidas, traveled to the home of the best distance runner in history to bring you a behind the scenes look at world record holder Haile Gebrselassie as he heads into his first ever NYC Marathon. Haile lives an extraordinary life that consists of running a business, being a father and a husband, training for his professional running career and much more.
In the first part of the series, Haile tells you about his life. As a child he began running to school and eventually ran his first international race in 1991. He talks about his career with adidas and how he'd like to end his career with an Olympic Marathon.
