Xiamen Intl. Marathon on January 2

According to the Xiamen Sports Bureau, the list of specially invited runners of 2011 Xiamen International Marathon has been confirmed.

27 international top marathon runners will be invited to compete in the 2011 Xiamen International Marathon, a record number in the history of this event.

Among the 27 international top runners, 11 of them come from Ethiopia, 7 come from Kenya, 2 come from Morocco, 2 come from Hungary, 1 comes from Poland, 1 comes from Russia, and 1 comes from Zimbabwe.

The runners have submitted their best race results to the organizing committee of 2011 Xiamen International Marathon, and more than 10 of them have a race time within 2 hours and 10 minutes. The fastest runner was a Kenyan runner with a time of 2 hours 6 minutes and 44 seconds.
