39th Egmond Half Marathon
The Ethiopian Ayele Abshere has won the 39th edition of the PWN Egmond Half Marathon in 1,02,23: the fourth fastest time ever run in Egmond. Second was the Kenyan Wilfred Kirwa (1,02,53) and the Ethiopian Abebe Dinkesa finished in third place (1,03,53). The First Dutch man was Koen Raymaekers in 1,04,25 (8thplace overall). The Ethiopian Abebech Afework was the winner of the women's competition. She finished in a time of 1,12,53, before her fellow countrywomen Workitu Ayanu (1,12,56) and the Kenyan Flomena Chepchirchir (1,13,10). The first Dutch woman was Hilda Kibet (1,14,24: 5th place overall).
