
Peter Kemboi of Kenya won the fourth Mississippi Blues Marathon on Saturday, edging fellow Kenyan Mark Chepses by four seconds.
Kemboi, 36, took the lead at the 24-mile mark and was timed in 2 hours, 19 minutes, 47 seconds - about a minute off the course record.
Chepses finished in 2:19:51 over the hilly, challenging course that started and finished in downtown Jackson.
