Frederick Mongiro ruled the 42k event in the third Subic International Marathon as the Kenyans continued their domination of the event at the Remy Field inside the SBMA for the third straight year yesterday.
Mongiro turned in a clocking of 2 hours, 23 minutes, 57 seconds in topping the centerpiece event also won by fellow Kenyans Nelson Kirwa Rotich and Vincent Kipchirchir Chepsiror in the first two years of the race. He won P20,000.
It was actually a sweep by the African runners as Eluid Kering and Daniel Koringo finished second and third, respectively.
