Katie McGregor, Jason Lehmkuhle, Josh Moen to Compete at USA Half Marathon Championships

Three Team USA Minnesota distance runners - Katie McGregor, Jason Lehmkuhle and Josh Moen - will be among the competitors at the USA Half Marathon Championships in Houston on Saturday, Jan. 29. The championships are hosted by the Aramco Houston Half Marathon and begin at 8:00 a.m.

The new half marathon course will provide a preview of the men's and women's U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, which will be held on the same venue in January 2012.

McGregor, a seven-time national champion and 2010 USATF Women's Long Distance Runner of the Year, has a best of 1:12:01 in the half marathon. Most recently she finished second at the USA Women's Marathon Championships in New York on Nov. 7 with a personal best time of 2:31:01. McGregor was also a member of the 2007 U.S. World Half Marathon team.

Lehmkuhle has a best in the half marathon of 1:02:32. At the USA Half Marathon Championships, he has finished second in 2008, third in 2005 and fifth in 2007. He has also been a two-time member (2205 and 2008) of the U.S. World Half Marathon team.

Moen competed in the 2010 USA Half Marathon Championships and finished sixth with a personal best of 1:02:52. Among other accomplishments, he was second at the 2009 USA 10 Mile Championships with a time of 46:38, which is the fourth best U.S. time in the 10 mile.
