Singapore's first 100km night race

The Sundown Ultra Marathon 2011 will take runners from the start point at Marina Bay down to Kallang before hitting East Coast Park. Runners will then make their way along Changi Coast Road before reaching Pasir Ris Park and then making a U-turn at Bedok Reservoir Park to head back to Marina Bay.

More than 720 runners have signed up for the Sundown Ultra Marathon since registration opened in November. The organisers expect about 1,000 participants. All runners of this elite distance will have to complete the distance within the 16-hour cut-off mark.

Another race, the Sundown Marathon looks set to be bigger than last year's. In less than two months since race registration in November 2010, registration figures have hit more than 25,000 participants, beating last year's figure of 19,500 runners who took part in 2010's Sundown Marathon.
