Kenya's Moses Mosop and Ethiopia's Gebre Gebremariam have signed up for the June 26 race. They join Geoffrey Mutai, who finished this year's Boston Marathon in 2 hours, 3 minutes, 2 seconds — the fastest anyone has ever completed the 26.2-mile distance.
Mosop was 4 seconds behind, which was also faster than the world record. However, the Boston course is ineligible for world records because it is a straight line, and not a loop.
