French Riviera Marathon des Alpes Maritime Nice-Cannes: new course 2009 on November 8

The 2009 edition of the French Riviera Marathon between Nice and Cannes reveals a great new entertainment program as well as new sensations. Besides, this second edition of the competition has a new ending which might reassure the last year participants somehow disappointed with the tortuous finish track.

So, as the last year's loop over Cannes is no longer valid, this year's new course is ought to satisfy all competitors' expectations in term of comfort for some and of greater performance for others. Thus, when you enter the town of Cannes you will directly reach the sea coast and going up the coast avenue (la Croisette) will lead you straight to the finish line. So, you'd better enjoy the scenery offered by this islands of Lérins and the Cap d'Antibes.

However, as a marathon's distance is always 42,195 km, it's at the village of Villeneuve-Loubet where the kilometers won in Cannes will be accumulated. So, as soon as you pass through the Hippodrome Côte d'Azur you will have to make a sort of loop over the bords du Loup, the inner side of a calm residential area, before you rush straight toward the spectacular Marina Baie des Anges.

In the end, mathematically speaken not even a kilometer is gained ! Just an extra confort to the competition to simply fulfill your expectations for better performance and greater pleasure of the running.
