Comrades Marathon: Official entry list

THE Comrades Marathon Association has announced an official entry list of 19300 athletes for the race to be held on May 30.

This year, the distance is officially marked as 89.28km, which is 110m longer than the 2009 down run. This year’s race will again be a down run.
The change in distance is as a result of a decision by the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) to change the exit route from Maritzburg to facilitate an easier and faster flow for the athletes expected on May 30.

With the confirmed entries standing at 19 300 and only 20 days to go, the CMA has appealed to those remaining athletes who entered and qualified on or before April 26 for this year’s race to submit their qualifying details to the Comrades Marathon office urgently so their entries can be confirmed on the race database.
