Mzungo staff extension: Cuan our South Africa ambassador

We are happy to announce our latest addition to the Mzungo staff:
Cuan from Durban, South Africa will be the Mzungo South Africa ambassador.
It's exciting to have someone with Cuan's background on board. Cuan first got on the press truck of Comrades marathon at the age of 13. Quickly, he became a walking running library, able to cite races and runner placings from the top of his head. Still a kid, he started befriending the Comrades pros and sometimes even spent Christmas with them and their families deep in the townships of South Africa. In November 2007 he was given a 10min stint during the live broadcast of the Soweto Marathon. After that he signed a contract with South African national broadcaster SABC and has since been doing TV commentary on all live road races shown in South Africa.

He couldn't stop himself running Comrades at the young age of 20 which he says "messed me up". He literally ran from injury to injury but still managed an 8:57 at his second Comrades in 2007. Since then he's trying to make his body stronger to be able to run next year's Comrades on his 26th birthday together with his colleagues from mzungo.org.
mzungo says: Cuan, welcome aboard, happy to have you!
Currently, mzungo.org is adding further country ambassadors to the team. If you are a dedicated distance running expert in your country and would like to contribute to Mzungo, please email us at askmzungo@gmail.com. Thanks!
