Nike Updates GPS App

VIA nwinnovation.com

Beaverton, Oregon-based Nike said today that it has updated its Nike+ GPS App, which is popular with runners tracking their workouts, on the Apple App store. According to Nike, the new app allows runners to use their iPhone to visually map every run, using both the GPS and accelerometer features to track pace, distance, time, and calories-burned by runners. The app allows runners to save details on their workout sessions, including both outdoor and indoor treadmill sessions. Nike sells the app for $1.99. The app works both with the iPhone, as well as the iPod Touch, although functionality is limited to just the accelerometer on the iPod Touch.
